  • White background for 4:3 slides in 16:9 video

Posted by Michal Bronec on February 5, 2015 at 12:33 am

I need to add 4:3 slides in a 16:9 video. The slides have white background, so I need to create white borders for them (to fill the 16:9 aspect ratio). I know I can create another track with solid white, but I need to set the lenght of the solid white event for each of the slide (the slides are only in some parts of the video) and thats too time consuming. Is there a quicker way?

If the slides are all the same length you only need to create one. Then do a copy – paste -paste -paste as many times as needed.

    They have different length.

    How about this:

    — Do one track with solid white,

    — Lay in your different-length images,

    — Go through and park your cursor on all the ins and outs where you don’t want the white and make a marker

    — Go to your white track, click through the markers and cut them.

    Maybe?

    That could work. Thanks 🙂
