Which tool to use? green smoke – avada kedavra effect
I have a clip of a kid saying “avada kedavra” to me as I was recording and I would like to put a nice little green smoke/lightning harry potter-esque effect on the end of the clip. How would you guys go about doing this? I would like to use vegas pro, but if it isn’t the right tool for the job please let me know what you recommend.

ParticleIllusion 3 can make all sorts of smoke and special effects. You can also probably buy stock footage of smoke effects as well. You can composite these together in Vegas. You might even get away with using some Generated Noise Media in Vegas but it won’t look as good as real particles.
