I’ve created a pretty simple animation with a layered psd. file in ae to be included and imported to a final cut project. The problem is when I export the same quicktime file from final cut the quality goes down significantly for some reason.
When exported from ae the file that’s created is very crisp but someone told me in the fcp forum this is usually the case. The settings are all the same in both programs as far as the frame rate and ntsc format. and my ae settings are for quicktime set at animation best quality.
This is really frustrating me. I am spending a lot of time trying to learn all i can about after effects but it seems useless as i can’t get crisp files into my parent sequences.

this is because the fcp timeline is probably set to ntsc dv, which doesn’t really handle animations well. Youc could try exporting to uncompressed 8-bit or something?
