Which folder are plug ins saved to in SV Pro 8
Hi!
I have saved many “colorings” on SV–various combinations of VidFx effects saved as plug-in packages. How can I access these plug-ins outside of Vegas? My laptop’s been having issues so I want to back up these colorings in case I lose them. Is this possible and if so, where can I find the plug-ins I’ve created?Thanks for your help!

Download the free Preset Manager from the Sony site.
Install and run it, do File – Open, choose a preset, File – Save As and choose a location to save it to. -
I forgot to mention that I created a separate folder where I store all the presets I create as well as the ones that I’ve downloaded over the years.

But, is there any way I can access the presets I’ve already created? I’ve already made at least 30 but I have no idea what folder they’re being saved to since I always select whatever VideoFx I’m using and then click “Save As” where a small box saying Save Plug-In Package shows up asking me to name the preset. I do so, click OK and then next time, it shows up under Filter Packages under Fx when I open up my VideoFx. Is there some way I can access these presets on my computer without having Vegas open? -
Olivia, try Presets Manager from Vegasaur.
You can freely use it for 30 days, so you can back up and restore your presets without headache -
Olivia, I guess I didn’t explain it properly.
To quote Sony, Preset Manager is a standalone application that you can use to back up, transfer, and delete user-defined effects presets for ACID, Sound Forge, and Vegas software.
That means that only this utility has to be running, not Vegas or any other app.
Try it (it’s free) and you’ll see what I mean.
