  • Where’s my MPEG2 ?

Posted by Alan Safewood on December 6, 2005 at 10:46 am

    I’ve upgraded to FinalCutPro5 (Studio) (v.5.0.3).
When I go to File – Export – Using QuickTime Conversion – Format… my MPEG2 option is gone (in one of my Mac’s).

Does anybody have a clue why – and how to get it back?

    Best Regards
    Alan

You don’t get that option anymore with FCP 5. You must go through Compressor now. Simply export a reference movie and go into Compressor.

Or you can save the reference clip and open it in QT Player and export to MPEG2 from there.

    Just another step…
