Where to sell used Avid hardware?
I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, so forgive me if it is not. We have several used Meridian Editing systems running Xpress 3.x. (All hardware but no CPUs.) This stuff was great but we switched to DV video and the cost of Xpress Pro was much less then buying just the DV input boards. So now I have all this gear and don’t want to just throw it away. Is there a market for any of this stuff? Were to people go to sell/trade this stuff, other then the dump. 🙂

Ebay. Don’t expect to get a lot for it though.

Companies like Broadcast Store (there are 5 or 6 others that do this) broker the sale of used equipment. But I doubt that they would handle a system that is not fully functioning due to the lack of the CPU. Most buyers of used Avid systems don’t have access to the engineering expertise required to replace the CPU and get everything working again.
