  • Where is the pIllusion logo graphic file located?

Posted by Dar Mcwheeler on November 4, 2008 at 7:03 pm

    Hello,

Ideally what I’d like to do is just replace the default pIllusion logo-text graphic file with my own logo-text graphic file – but retaining the pIllusion file name – so that *my* logo becomes the “default” text for the entire library/program without much fiddling around.

But I can’t find the pIllusion file – it doesn’t seem to be in the program directories.

Could you please point me to it’s location.

    Cheers,

    Dar

    Dar,

Take at look at this Text Emitter Tutorial.

    Thanks John.

I know about the “per emitter” text replacement, but what I was hoping for is to replaces the pIllusion “boilerplate” globally so I could audition Any emitter using my own logo as the “default” text across All Emitters, basically by using my graphic but retaining the original “pIllusion” file name that is contained in the emitters, to save all that individual tweaking.

Does this make any sense? Is it even possible?

Not possible. The particle images are not stored externally — they’re stored in the library file itself.

    Dar,

yikes that sounds like you editing a library file which is a real, real, real bad idea. So for now it seems to me the only way to do what you want, would be to “tweak” each one individually.

Maybe Alan has a different idea?

Thanks Alan and John. I kinda thought that was going to be the answer.

Editing the library files can’t be *that* difficult.

If the wondertouch guys made an editor for the library files that, at the very minimum, would allow us to swap out images globally or with a “find and replace” feature would be pretty useful.
