Yes, I am quite excited….I just hope that they will fit my freakishly large feet. Imagine, I am 5’7 and wear 11 or 12….Let’s just say that I have great balance…it also helped me score a lot of goals in soccer last year, basically I just have to stick out my leg and let my freak-feet do the rest.

March 15, 2007 at 12:57 pmYou and I get the duty, well, er, um — well, shoveling doo-tey around the farm. :o)
No. Kathlyn didn’t like my idea of real cows at the show. 🙂
Kathlyn is handling the schedule and will be contacting you.
Best,
Ron

March 15, 2007 at 3:10 pmKathlyn and I had pretty much agreed (or at least I hope) that I would be at the booth on tuesday morning. Monday I can’t do the duty, and because I am leaving wednesday morning, I would like to keep tuesday afternoon free to run around see all the things that I didn’t get a chance to see yet.

March 15, 2007 at 4:00 pmI’ve got you, Mark, down for Tuesday morning. Walter is working Tuesday afternoon. So far, everything else is open.
Aanarav if you want to pick out your time, write me and let me know which slot you’d like.
I’ve ordered 8 pairs of cow slippers, so that’s a total of 8 slots available. If anyone reading this would like to go on the list to help out in the cow booth and earn a pair of fuzzy cow slippers, write me.

March 20, 2007 at 7:32 pmIf you are flying into Vegas, consider going on Southwest Airlines, because on their website they have “vacation” packages combining airfare & hotel, which really can cut down the overall cost.

March 23, 2007 at 2:52 pmI figure a room costing $80-100 in Vegas is a pretty good deal. The last few years I stayed at the Comfort Inn on Paradise Rd. by UNLV. It had a king bed, microwave, fridge and free shuttle to LVCC. Now it’s $119 🙁
This year it’s the Best Western on Paradise a block from LVCC and walking is good for me. To get to the strip the free NAB shuttle is great.I don’t know if it’s a big secret but a good affordable meal is at Terrible’s Casino at Flamingo and Paradise in the Bouganvillea Cafe. 16 oz. prime rib or 12 oz. steak for $9.99. Comes with veggies and potato and the steak with a glass of wine. I always feel like it’s so cheap the waiters are shorted so I tip a little heavy. One year I met another editor eating solo so we ate together and had a good conversation. Naturally, you have to go through the dark smoky casino to get to the elevator, but its worth it.

March 23, 2007 at 2:55 pmAnother sleeper steak deal is available 24×7 at Ellis Island, steak, baked potato and other stuff for $5. Not on menu, you have to ask. For me, took the place of the late night $2 deal at Horseshoe.
