  • Where are all my capture settings?

    Hey all,

Just wondered if anyone might know where my missing capture settings are and if I can put them where they belong. We were working on a project this morning that required me to capture from Betacam into my AJA IO. Lo and behold, when I went to select the appropriate setting in the “capture presets” panel, the only AJA IO options were all SDI – not Betacam or analog of any kind. Where are they? The other editor has them on his machine. I managed to work around it my modifying a generic capture template, but this should not have to be so. They’re not even listed under the “easy setup” menu with “show all” checked. I know I’ve captured from that Betacam before, but I can’t remember if I ever had the AJA analog options or not – I would think I did or I would’ve had trouble in the past as well. Oh well. Any thoughts?

    Many thanks.

Are you sure you installed the analog settings for the IO? If I recall, the SDI and analog settings are different installs with the IO. You have to install both sets to have the full set of analog and digital presets for the IO.

Ah, no I’m not at all sure. Can I install the analog settings without messing anything up?

You can install the analog settings without harming the SDI settings. It will just provide more settings to choose from.
