Whenever I drop a clip into my FCP timeline, I get a white image?
Hey guys,
Something got messed up since I last cut something together. I successfully imported my HVX footage to my computer (using an external harddrive). Now when I drop a clip into the timeline, I can actually watch the clip just fine. It’s when I stop the clip that the image goes white. I like to color correct as I go along in the editing process, so it’s a pretty big annoyance, not to mention it’s pretty freakin’ hard to edit two clips together when I can’t see the static image of the clip when it’s not playing and I’m trying to fine tune a cut.
So what’s the deal? I know I must have done something to my sequence settings or whatever, but has anyone encountered this before and have a step by step breakdown of what I need to do to fix this? I’ve got some deadlines coming up and this is causing major headaches.

Look in one of the buttons on top of the canvas window and uncheck View: Alpha Channel.
