just doing some simple previz work in AE with some text and sound effects… 3d box is checked for my text layers… issue is when i do a ram preview, on occassion the green status bar gets to the end of the render area (end of timeline or preview areas, it doesn’t matter)and AE freezes and i have to force quit the application… just started doing this yesterday…

any suggestion on the issue are welcomed

Sometimes that kind of crash is the sign of bad RAM — when you use up one RAM chip and move to another, it crashes.

still having this freeze issue with or without the audio files… since i am fairly new to macs i have difficulty reading the activity monitor to see if the ram is fully utilized…

the freeze is inconsistent and doesn’t happen when rendering out …

    more suggestions are welcomed
