    hey

    so basically if u have a layer in 3d space, and its shaped like a car, and you want on one side a blue car, and on the other a red car…whats the best way of doing this? duplicating the layer and then changing the colour and placing it right behind the layer in z space? and then i guess parent one to the other?

    just wondered if there were any other ways….

    Yep. Or parent them both to a null.

    Make them maybe 1 pixel apart — you might have to tweak that distance.

    There was a plugin that did it more simply, but it was flawed — at any camera angle other than straight on, the layer was cut off. Bad.
