  • What’s the best way to flip the image in FCP when using a 35mm adapter?

Currently using the HVX-200 and the Redrock adapter. Trying to figure out the best way to flip the image.
Also, does flipping the image DEGRADE the image in ANY way?? Is it the same as color correcting or adding an effect?

    Thank you,

    Michael

I just flipped it within the WIREFRAME and litterally just dragged the image around until it was right side up. When I play back the footage I see bad interlace lines going across the image horizontally?

I’m not sure how your image needs flipping, but try the Perspective filters – they’ll give you a better result. The image degredation depends on what codec you’re using. If it’s NTSC-DV (DV25) then there is recompression involved (just like adding an effect) but I’m not sure that it’s noticeable.

Yep, that’s the one. That should be easier and avoid any field problems.
