November 17, 2011 at 12:53 amBe wary.
I’m not sure but a quick search shows that everything I can see under this supposed “update” number – leads to offshore “fake software” sites.
So go slowly.

November 17, 2011 at 1:16 amDo you mean internet searches for info? The App Store has it and it installs as a 100MB patch rather than a full install (at least under 10.7.2).

November 17, 2011 at 1:18 amYep, appears I was wrong. Jeremy just posted a link here to the Apple site. My search just missed it 10 minutes ago.
So it IS an legit update.
Good

November 17, 2011 at 1:18 amThe App Store is the only reliable place to get it, if I’m not mistaken:

I certainly agree with this.[Jeremy Garchow] “reliable”
Based on my own personal experience this part might be subject to debate . . . given the number of people who had reported it not purchased or had to delete and install in the past. I do hope the App Store becomes professionally reliable.

OS 10.6.8 is downloading the full 1.44 GB. I haven’t checked on my 10.7.2 system but I’ve heard that’s one of the difference between 10.6.8 and 10.7.2 updates for FCPX at least.

“True
I meant it’s reliable in terms of the source, perhaps not in the operation.

Excellent fix. Noticed this bug from point 0 release.
