I’ve heard very little about the HPX-3000. It’s available now in Los Angeles. I know cine abel tech has one.

Is it the “new” Varicam ? It’s the only 2/3″ chip that shoots native full raster 1920X1080 to P2 using intra frame compression. You’d think there would be a thread solely for this camera.

Where can I find some footage?
    Anyone know what’s going on?

It’s not the “new VariCam” because there’s no variable frame rates. It does offer the Film Rec mode and every filmlike gamma panasonic’s ever offered, but no variable frame rates at all. It’s more like Panasonic’s answer to the F950.
