I use 2 19in LCD monitors at work but have 2 17in CRT at home.

i want to upgrade to LCD at home and was wondering what you all think is a better buy and for editing on.

    Should i get 2 17in LCDs or 1 20 inch LCD?

Two 17″ monitors will give you more overall real estate than a single 20″. And I prefer editing in a two screen mode as far as easier organisation and all.

you should get 2 30″ LCD monitors. This will give you a 5′ span between the 2 ends of your monitors. when you sit 2 feet away from these, you will get a chance to exercise your neck muscles, while you are sitting in your editing chair (where I know you are eating cheeseburgers, and french fries all day long). AND, with that 60″ span across both monitors, your arm will get a workout, dragging that mouse back and forth, all day long, instead of barely moving it on a 20″ display. AND, if you use reading glasses – believe me – with 2 30″ monitors, you will have these fonts looking REAL BIG ! Who needs glasses ?

See – who looks out for your health, other than me ?
