  • What’s best way to ingest then Export BETA SP footage for archiving as Quicktimes

I’m working with a documentary film director.
He wants about 70 old BETA SP tapes saved as Quicktimes for archiving.

He has FCP 7 with an AJA ioHD box.

His system was wired by an engineer about 18 months ago and there has been little or no capturing from tape since then (mostly importing P2 footage).
He has several sources of input (BETA, DV, HD Tape etc.)
They all run through a patch-bay then out to the AJA HD box.
The Audio runs through a mixer then out to the AJA HD box with an XLR.

I can’t get the Capture tool to recognize the BETA deck for deck control or Timecode..

I can “Capture Now”…. but for this project it would be very beneficial to log clips and capture the same timecode.

In the Capture tool I select:
Device Control- AJA ioHD NTSC Sony VTR
    Capture/Input- AJA ioHD 525 29.97 10 bit

    It’s a Sony PVW-2800

I checked to make sure buttons on the patch-bay were correct.

I also tried “Easy Set Up” and no luck.

    Any Suggestions???
