What would you call this text effect?
At 0:12 of this video they have a text effect where the text is revealed and it looks like a shadow is pulling over it. Anyone know what this effect is called and can point me towards a tutorial on how to recreate it?

this is very simple. I don’t think it has a name but it could be shadows over text.. 🙂
the most straight forward approach I can think of is just use a feathered mask on a few black solids and move it on top of the text.
