    I Used a Canon T3i to film @1920×1080 30 FPS.My Computer has an athlon dual core(II X2 245e @2.9 Ghz) 4 GB Ram(3.75 usable) 64 Bit.Ive been working on a music video with quite a bit of clips,color correction and crossfade transitions.

Lately I haven’t had luck rendering a crystal clear video with Vegas.I’m currently working on a music video and some clips came out a bit choppy, kinda like how when you record using a mini DV tape and you see those choppy lines on a clip.Sometimes my computer wont render(says my computer is low on memory, but my RAM goes to 70% Max,Processor goes to 100%).I’ve been rendering WMV(like I always do).
    My settings for video are

    6mps 720p 30fps template
    Mode:CBR
    Format:WMV 9
    Size:1280×720(Yes I downsize it)
    Pixel:1.000
    Frame Rate:NTSC
    Seconds per Keyframe:5
    Overide default compression buffer:3
    Video smoothness:100%

    Audio:I left that alone

    Project settings:best

Does anyone have an suggestions?or an exact copy of a pretty good render settings? Sony vegas is all that I have and im not too advanced on render settings( i always pick wmv and works fine, till today…)

Here is one video I have made with basic wmv settings(1080p)

Some of the choppiness may just be your computer’s inability to process your camera’s files. I can barely work with 720p MOV files on my old Athlon X2 and 1080p is just way too choppy to work with so a more powerful Quad Core computer would help.

Also upgrading to Vegas Pro 11 would help as I see from your screen shot that you’re using Vegas Pro 9.0 which didn’t handle DSLR files as well as 10 and 11 do. I realize you probably can’t do that right now, but it’s something to think about in the future. You can’t expect software that is 3 versions old to work with the latest Canon T3i that wasn’t even invented when that software was released.

I’ve read a lot of editors having problems with Vegas and WMV files. WMV is quite outdated and Vegas often has memory issues when rendering to it. I would render to Sony AVC using the Internet 16:9 HD 30p template and see if you get better results.
