What version of Vegas to get based on:
We have been using an old version on Sony Vegas for a bit now and have started to get a good grasp of it. It has become familiar and comfortable. We aren’t power users by any means and use it to make a few demonstration videos and to merge audio with video – basic editing.
It looks like Vegas Edit may be an economical choice. Any thoughts on limitations here? Again – super basic editing.

Vegas Edit has the exact same version of Vegas Pro as the other two packages. There are no differences or limitations. The next package up adds DVD Architect Pro and the Suite package adds more 3rd Party apps but all 3 packages contain the exact same Vegas Pro 13 so if all you need to do is edit and deliver for the Internet, Vegas Pro 13 Edit is probably going to be fine.
