What version of Final Cut Pro will open my Final Cut Express 4 project?
I have been able to open a FC pro 5 project in FCE 4 (not perfectly but its there) but will I be able to do the reverse?
    Thanks for any assistance available.

Try exporting as an XML and opening that into FCP. This can sometimes be used to move FCP projects to older versions so it may work for FCPe.

    Hi Alex

did the timecode come through from FCE 4 to FCP 5? I’d be very interested to know, as I am considering using FCE 4 as an ‘offline’ edit package and then opening the project in FCP 7 to finish.

    Best
