    Hey guys,

I know that this might not be the right place to ask, but you guys seem to know more than just Vegas ;).

    As per the title:
What to do with my finished short film?

    Obviously, submit to film festivals.
That is as far as I have got.

I would like to see it worldwide and get royalties every time it is played.
So, I do not think I can arrange that myself, so I expect I would need an agent?
Or do I just sell it to whoever for £5000, and be done with it?
Do I upload to Youtube and Vimeo just to get some views and maybe get lucky, or keep the control?

I expect lots of people have lots of different ideas, and I thought it would be nice to get as many different views as possible.
Any advice would be great, I am based in the UK.

And before anyone says it, I know there is no right way, but I don’t want to go the wrong way.

    Thanks.
    Will.

“I would like to see it worldwide and get royalties every time it is played.”

So would every filmmaker in the world. Unfortunately, the vast majority of short films never see a penny of revenue. Heck, Hollywood studios put out some 300 films a year, sometimes at a cost of millions of dollars, and most of them never get to your local theater.

You can’t even get people to watch on the special interests forums you belong to. I am finding that the shorter the piece the better.
