Is anyone else having a bunch of problems with QT7 Pro? I’m having problems encoding, compresssing, playing back and having others playback (what else is there?).

I’ve also been corresponding with Popwire’s tech suppport trying to figure out why I’m losing audio sync when trying to convert QT7 files to WMV files. They’ve said that QT7 has been causing a bunch of issues. Popwire has great tech support and are supposed to be releasing a fix to this problem (that QT7 has caused?) in the next week or so. Also, Cleaner rarely recognizes any of the new files.

    I’m spending/wasting a lot of time trying to output/compress simple/short video files…

Hope there’s an update that will resolve things real soon.

i’d be interested in hearing any and all responses…

Try using Compressor instead of QT Pro… it’s much better, and gives you options to make the files QT 6 compatible.

I just did an encode with Compressor 2 on Tiger, and QT 7 played it without a hitch.. I’d suggest that you go back to 6.5.2.

    Jerry,

Have you noticed any quality differences between Compressor 2 and version 1? Better – worse – the same? No, this isn’t an opinion poll at the mall or anything (grin) Just curious.
