What techniques/tools are used to create this text motion graphics in After Effects?
What tools or techniques do you think are used to create the following motion graphics in After Effects? Do you think they are created using presents, plugins, expressions, or just by keyframing every step of the way? There is also Pins&Box script which could make similar results, but I am not sure.

Like most things in After Effects, these could have been done multiple ways, but you can be sure they both use Shape Layers and Text layers and can be recreated if that it what you intend to do without any plug-ins or scripts. However, expressions on complex text animations can help you use less key frames but as the text is quite simple here it could have simply been done with the range selector.
