Been watching Coldplay’s “Viva la Vida” video.

Was wondering if anyone knew what they are doing to the video to give it that motion effect. I’m speaking of the way the frames flow, not the filter that makes it looks like it’s projected on a canvas. It seems to me that they’re simply taking out some of the frames, but it’s hard to tell. If it’s as simple as that, is there a way to do this in vegas?

    thanks,
    mike

I want to help you, but your question is to abstract 😛 I want more details, you mean how the clips fade in to eachother or the background?

    Lemme know.

Unfortunately I can not see your movie. I get a message that the contant is blocked in my country because it contains copyrighted material from EMI.

‘It seems to me that they’re simply taking out some of the frames’

But from your description I think this is done with the StepTime2 plug-in from Pixelan (or something similar0.

Mike, the “poor man’s” way of doing it is to right-click the clip. select Properties and lower the Undersample rate.
Start with 0.5 and go up/down from there.
