  • What size should I render to fill the YouTube window?

Posted by Harvey Tom on May 24, 2010 at 2:49 pm

I have been rendering at 720 x 480 NTSC, but it does not fill the youtube video screen. What render setting should I use to fill the entire YouTube window?

Here is an example of what I am talking about:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gS3zK0okMTc

I’m sure this is an easy solution for many of you. I appreciate any help you can give me on this.

    Thanks,
    Harvey

Got it. Someone sent the solution to me.
I go to event pan crop, right click and got to properties.
    Select match output aspect.

More simply you need to render the video in a 16:9 ratio resolution, for example 1280×270 (720p). And make sure the video files of your project are 16:9, even if that means cutting out some of the footage.

I appreciate the information but I don’t see that as an option in my vegas movie studio 9 platinum software. Would it be called something else? I looked under the Mpeg2 and MP4 settings and neither have a setting that says 16:9 or 720p.

It’s via the pan/crop tool. I don’t know if you have it however since I’ve never used Movie Studio. I would have thought you would.
