what should I be searching for?
I’m trying to learn how to do this effect, it’s from Kill The Teddy Bear – the effect is a white point following each limb and a dynamic white line between them, sort of a dynamic graphic overlay.
What should I be googling?

For the following each limb, you need to track them. AE has built in Motion Tracking, Mocha(third party software bundled with AE) does an even better job of tracking(tad more complicated to use). You can also hand track. Some people will use the beam effect to link the points.
