what pc is comparable to mac?
hi all,
i have a dual 1.8ghz mac G5 and i was thinking about getting a PC computer to work on avid at home. Currenty i use Final Cut Pro at home and Avid at work. My PC at work is a dual core 2.4ghz and it is fast. My mac at home seems real slow compare to this.
Can anyone tell me what type of PC computer would be comparable specs to my mac? i am thinking of selling it on ebay to get a pc that is at least comparable or better.

You won’t be able to run your FCP on a PC.

If you want to use your Avid software at home, you’re best to get a PC that is qualified to run the software. In most cases that is a high-end HP workstation XW8400 or XW4400. DELL workstations also work but you need to check the specs first on the Avid website.
