  • What is the workflow for surround 5.1?

I work with PremierePro 1.5, Audition 1.5 and Encore DVD 1.5.
I have a 5.1 file from a 1.5 hour concert. But some editing was needed.
I did this in PremierePro to keep synchronized with the movie.
I have also an AVI with normal stereo. On the DVD I want a choice between
stereo and surround. I know how to switch between audiotracks based on a choise.

My question: How can I import the 5.1 file as a second track in Encore DVD?
In other words: How can I export the 5.1 track in Premiere via Audition (?)
to Encore. I tried to import the not edited 5.1 file into Encore DVD but I received a message that this type (As interleaved file exported from Audition) is not supported.
I also tried to export the edited 5.1 but no luck.

    Can someone help me out?

For 5.1 you need to encode to AC3. Audition does not do that. Export the 5.1 track from Premiere with the Minnetonka Surcode encoder.
