    Client giving me these specs:
    80pt
    Helvetica Nueue Regular

How do I match that text size in Vegas? Many thanks. This cross platform stuff is gonna drive me nuts.

    Use 15pt in Vegas Pro.

Many thanks, John. Is there a conversion formula?

    Not that I know of.

I assumed you didn’t have Photoshop to check for yourself and knowing that Helvetica Nueue Regular is a Mac font, I created a 1920×1080 Photoshop file on my Mac and added an 80pt Helvetica Nueue Regular text to it. Then found Helvetica Nueue for Windows and installed it and then I dropped that into a 1920×1080 Vegas Pro project, created the same text string with Helvetica Nueue and resized it until the two matched in dimensions.

    15 pt was a perfect match. 😉

It’s probably important to point out that this measurement is based on the HD TV 1920×1080 preset in Photoshop. If they used some other DPI then the point sizes will not match.
