what is the count down at the start of old films called?
Hi all,
As the subject says, I am trying to find examples of preroll countdowns of old 40s,50s, and 60s films where you have the numbers in a circle or something counting backwards with blinks between them 5,4,3,2,1). I’m not entirely sure what it is called so have been unable to find some reference examples.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

If you have a “Film look” plug in, that combined with black and white makes a nice addition to Mike’s leader suggestion

Thanks for your replies. I was actually only wanting to know what it is called. I am creating a Flash animation but the effect of course is a video/film one so I figure asking you guys directly was the best. Film Leader is what I was chasing.

In the U.S., it is commonly called “Academy Leader”…
