  • What Is The’ Best’ Way To Upload The Best HD Videos In Youtube Using Sony Vegas Pro 11?

    Hi there!

I’m new here. The reason why i posted this because i really need some good advice & guidance from professionals on how to render good HD videos to Youtube using Sony Vegas Pro 11 (Which i have failed terribly).

Let me briefly explain what am i up to. I have decided to start a video project in youtube (Something like those time-lapse drive videos)I’ve Been working on lately. I have some very good HD Camera’s & camcorders & my most happiest moment of all. Getting A Very Good & Expensive video editing software from sony! Great!

Now, The problem is this. I cannot render a good, perfect HD quality video for upload. I’m bad at rendering videos. The after rendered video looked terrible. I think i’m a lil confused about the settings in sony vegas pro (As there are so many tutorial videos in YT teaching new users how to render, there are so many versions of it, i can’t be trying 1000 ways of em).

    Ok, here’s my problem:

    1) When dragging videos into the sony vegas timeline, is it necessary to set the video properties by pointing at the video file and right click to edit it / Or you do the editing in project properties (Located at File)? So leave the video properties at the timeline untouched?

    2) I’m using a AVC-HD Camera (1080-50i) To Shoot All My Drive Videos. (Currently). My Question starts here. When you start to set the project properties under file, do you select the match media settings or you need to manually customize the settings yourself?

My camera takes AVC HD 17M At display of 1920×1080.

    – Do i need to set the field order as progressive scan? because i’m viewing the video thru computer monitor & watching it in youtube.

    – Pixel aspect ration set to 1?

    – Frame Rate(!) Since my camera snaps vids at 50i, do i put it as double pal (50i) or 25p? I’m a little confused here. Does youtube support video frame rate of 50i?

    – Pixel format – I Don’t really know what is this. the 8 bit and 32 bit thingy. do i change to 32 or leave it as 8 bit?

    – My video recorded is interlaced mode. So do i pick the motion blur type as gaussian (Default) or others?

    – For the deinterlace method, should i leave it as -none- (Since i’m uploading it to youtube, or should i choose blend or interpolate? (Some people adviced me to go for interpolate because i’m recording high motion videos).

    – Should i tick the (Adjust source media to better… bla bla bla)?

All right, thats the end of project properties, My last question would be which format will you all recommend for me to upload the vid in youtube? mp4? avc? wmv? others?

I would appreciate if somebody can help me on this issue. Thank You Once Again!

    And, 1 Final question.

    – When rendering, there’s a selection box to determine the playback rate. At what rate should i set in order for the video for it to playback at it’s best?

Thank You Once Again.. Hope To Hear from you soon.
