What is the best way to get video to look like film?
I’m always dazzled by the progress of software and hardware in quality. I went to the Adobe Production Studio Tour in SF yesterday and am thrilled by the new work being done here. This is a naive question, but with all of the choices out there, what is the best (easiest and cheapest and rewarding) way to make video have the contrast, grain, color and warmth of film? (Not the old film look…new pristine film.) I know that camera has to match the capture card, the work station, the video card, software packages and plug-ins and output. Does anyone have any success stories? Thanks in advance.
