What is the best way to effectively place b-roll in a documentary?
I’m editing a short documentary. I’m trying to figure out the most effective way to place b-roll. B-roll in the opening of the documentary? B-Roll in the interviews? B-roll in the closing of the documentary?

Typically you show what is being talked about. Or abstracts of what is talked about. What you need to do is watch a lot of docs and pay attention to how they use b-roll.
