  • What is the best way of exporting audio so it doesnt crackle?

    Hi there

Basically I have exported some audio from after effects as a 48khz 16 bit stereo wav file but it seems to crackle when the file gets louder. Admittdely in AE i have put the audio levels up to around 20db + in places but it sounds fine in after effects, why does it suddenly crackle when rendered out? Is there anyway of solving this or am i a bit screwed?

    Thanks!

    Dan

I’ve had this problem if I’m sourcing an MP3 file and then rendering out –

The guys at adobe told me a work around long ago – but I’ve just kept everything in my workflow as wav files and the problem has not returned.

I don’t know what your source file is – but maybe that helps?

    cheers,

MP3’s often cause that to happen. If you can avoid using an MP3 and try bringing in an uncompressed WAV that would work. I think you can even convert an MP3 into a wav externally, and it will be fine. It’s just that AE hates MP3’s.
