what is the best (codec) format for premiere besides uncompressed
I have alot of videos that are apparently in xvid or dvix form and premiere wont accept them.
I am willing to convert them first but I want to know the best codec that premiere will accept.
I have tried to do mp4 but premiere opens them EXTREMELY slowly and sometimes crashes.I dont want to do uncompressed because i dont have the disk space for that, and the videos i want to edit are over an hour each.
so i would like to know
1. what codec to choose. besides uncompressed – just the next best thing for example.
2. what software is best used to convert a video into that format fast and with good quality.I have procoder, avs converter, nero, cinema craft, and premieres encoder.
Sorry, there were no replies found.
