September 19, 2005 at 3:17 pmPrinco, Ritek. Never a coaster, but just as important, no incompatible players yet, no returns.

September 19, 2005 at 3:20 pmNow *I’m echoing! After submitting a post, the window stays at the “compose” page, so it’s hard to know if the message posted.
Usually it goes back to the forum page. I guess I’ll repeat this to Eric, the systems guy.

September 19, 2005 at 3:30 pmWOW, RITEK….. super ghetto.. LOL.
I’m glad to hear that ’cause I have 2000 RITEK’s sitting here and I had no idea what to do with them.. they never worked for me
: (
Well, if you guys say it’s my burner then I’ll go get another one today.Which one…? The $189 LAcie external Lacie that they sell at the APPLE STORE?
Is there an internal SUPERDRIVE replacement that I should buy?
Thanks

September 19, 2005 at 3:41 pmNot sure what you mean by “super ghetto”, they either work good or they don’t. An acquaintance whose company burns tens of thousands of DVDs a year
uses Princo Ritek and Prodisk. I’ve never used Prodisk, but he swears by them.

I’m not sure about this, but I think that Princo & Prodisk are now both owned by Ritek.
FWIW, I’ve been using Ritek for maybe a year & a half, with perhaps 3 or 4 returns out of a few hundred disks.

September 21, 2005 at 3:43 pmI use Phillips. So far, no bad burns. I am using a PC though with a Sony DVD-+RW burner.
Phillips created the disc technology, so who better then them?
