What is the aspect ratio?
Hi, i have a wierd problem with this video i’m capturing from my minidv camera. Now, it ‘says’ that the aspect ratio is 0.9 when you capture your video onto a PC. But, when i bring it into Digital Fusion it says the aspect ratio is 1.125, What’s up with that?
I need to figure out why this is happening and know exactly what my aspect ratio is for some visual effects shots, or else the background plate and the cg element won’t match correctly. I can correct this in Digital Fusion by changing the aspect ratio in there, but i rather figure out why my video is 1.125 and not 0.9
So if anyone knows and can help me out little, that would be greatly appreciated.

NTSC DV pixel aspect ratio can be .9 or 1.2 depending on the camcorder setting…normal or widescreen/cinema mode.
