    while in the middle of creating a multilayer AE project i got a C++ run time error and AE let me save the project before it shuting down and than a pop-up said

    i’m using CS2 Video suite for PC

    can anyone explain this ?

    You mean CS3?

    Basic troubleshooting: disable effects first and try again. Hide layers and try again. Make sure no footage is MPEG, DivX or other low-quality codecs. Make sure audio is AIFF or WAV, not MP3. Disable OpenGL in the Prefs.

    “the real fun begins when the program loads”: is that when the problem starts? If so, what happens and when? If it’s when the startup screen appears, what appears before a crash? If that’s your sig, lose it — it’s confusing in a troubleshooting forum.

    No , i mean in CS2 video suite. i was working a pc. all of the footage being used is avi or quick time from digital juice. Working a a friends place and i never seen a message like that – i was thinking he had a virus or something.
