What is going on with my FCP 7
I am working on a project using FCP7 on a MacPro dual quad core with snow leopard. The project consists of putting a lot of testimonial segments together. I have a lot of older SD footage combined with newer HD footage trying to put it in the same sequence. And, I do a lot of masking to just show the head with some text off to the side visually reinforcing what is being said. The amount of filters and modification requires rendering to be seen. What is happening though, that I don’t understand is the rendering work keeps disappearing. I leave the computer for awhile and the sequence that had been rendered now has a red line over it. I can go back and “revert” or “restore” and return it to where it was but why do I have to do this? Is this a snow leopard problem? A FCP problem? A settings problem? or something else? It is a big pain in the you know where and I have never had this problem before with FCP.
