what I would like to see from AJA at NAB2006
Posted by Bob Zelin on September 14, 2005 at 1:09 amA nice little AJA Mini converter that puts out tri level sync, for the same price as a Horita Black generator (It’s just a damn square wave ! – well, almost).

September 14, 2005 at 3:28 pmWhile we are dreaming, how about a hardware accelerated codec that supports alpha channels and ‘fixes’ the YUV-RGB color space problem when working with material rendered out of AE. Something like an RGB QRez, except with alpha channels.
A cheap tri-level sync would be cool too.

September 14, 2005 at 5:38 pmHow about a way to use RT Extreme, but also allows a lot more ability to mix and match codecs and resolutions in the timeline.
Now that would be a great Channukah gift. Let’s see, we need 7 more!

September 15, 2005 at 4:40 pmI talked to AJA about tri-level sync and they said that they would love to make one, but they only have so many engineers that can be working on so many projects at once. So, it’s not a willingness issue, it’s a resources issue.
