    Hi,

I was trying to create a 3D object in proAnimator (and in invigorator) from an AI file.

ProAnimator says “there is no usable vector path in your file” and closes.

How did i create the AI file? I simply opened Illustrator CS2, grabbed the pencil tool and drawn. I then saved as AI. And i clearly see the drawn object within Illustrator.

Was there something alse i should do in AI? what does this error message mean? What is a “usable vector path” and how is it different from what iam seeing in Illustrtor right now?

    Thank you
PS: I am totally new to illustrator.

Did you try saving as an eps?

Try exporting as an eps, then exporting as an AI file rather than saving as one. You may need to back track and save/export as Illustrator 8 format.
