I’m cleaning up an audio piece in Logic Pro X. Some of the interviews are telephone calls they recorded. I know “garbage in, garbage out,” but that’s what I’m playing with…..so….that said…..what EQ’ing or filters do you use to try and make telephone calls sound as good as possible? I’m not trying to do anything fancy. Just cleaning them up to sound as good as possible.

    Hello Noam,

I use RX7 Advanced noise reduction followed by (or sometimes preceded by) an 7 band EQ. Following that I’ll compress or limit to scrunch the remains together. Occasionally, the de-reverb will help by removing some early reflections.

My approach is to remove the bad stuff and squeeze what’s left.
