What FCPX *really* needs
Posted by Richard Herd on June 15, 2011 at 8:47 pmIt needs a button for corporate clients: “Make it softer by adding dissolves to every cut” and the “don’t be creative” button.
You know this is true!

June 15, 2011 at 9:14 pmActually, it needs some kind of animated button for a zero-frame trim, so you can *look* like you made a change but didn’t.

June 15, 2011 at 11:26 pmHow about an automated video analyzer so you can, “Make it like that?”

June 16, 2011 at 12:55 amBut I like dissolves…
(the stuff I shoot is unrehearsed, unscripted and unacted and only intended for local viewing. anything that makes things less abrupt is fine by me) -

June 16, 2011 at 1:12 am[Richard Herd] “It needs a button for corporate clients: “Make it softer by adding dissolves to every cut” and the “don’t be creative” button.”
Those will be included in the Corporate Plugin Pack along with these other exciting features:
– “Make my logo bigger” button
– “Virtual committee” button for randomly generating up to 20 conflicting and poorly articulated opinions on an edit
– original idea removal tool
– “de-emote” filter for removing any sign of life from actors’ performances
– “Make viral video” button
– Legal disclaimer generator
– “Make the boss’s girlfriend look and sound like a real actress” filter

June 16, 2011 at 2:58 amAlan, you forgot a plugin to make the horrible PowerPoint supplied to you and that they want you to use actually look nearly acceptable.
[Alan Okey] “- “Virtual committee” button for randomly generating up to 20 conflicting and poorly articulated opinions on an edit
“No thanks. Got that one already.

June 16, 2011 at 3:39 amI defiantly want the “Polish Turd” Filter, takes a steaming pile and turns it into a Hollywood master piece.
I guess I could settle for the “Magic box” button or the Suck-less Slider
