    1. Really looking forward to seeing a perfectly cooked medium rare USDA Prime dry-aged rib-eye on my plate at Del Frisco’s!

    2. CS6

    3. Canon 4k?

    4. AJA booth – I’ll be there working 🙂

I just want clarity. At the mo it is da Vinci/ AVID DNx a short head on CS6 Speedgrade??

FCPX is not on the radar yet so it is down to the best package for grade and online with tape still a factor. I now have Kona3 and Decklink Extreme sitting in my MacPro but I am specing WIN hardware as the most likely candidate for either AVID or Adobe. My Tangent Wave is also wondering who it will be most useful to.

A rock solid, high-capaciity, cheap archiving solution that’s as easy as hard drives and as robust as blu-ray-rom. I guess that violates the triad, but one can hope.

[Tim Wilson] “what’s on your list to see from companies who’ll actually be at the show?”

    PPro CS6.
    Lightworks.
    Archiving solutions.
Ki-Pro and HyperDeck and all other SSD video recorders.
Speech recognition software like Boris Soundbite.

Hey, I’ll get on that one too. The Japanese earthquake has made me think a lot about long-term storage and it would be nice to see some developments and agreements in this area that could lead to something more standardized. Also, I’d like to see some growth in methods of 2k/4k archiving.

I’d like to see enough competition on 4K monitors to drive the prices down a bit.

My friends! I want to see my buddies! ‘ll be working for AJA every day in their booth, so come by and shake hands.

I want to see all the 4k. It’s the next thing. I remember when I saw HD for the first time in 1979. it took THAT long for it to become the norm.

Other than that, I want to see what all the other NLE companies are showing. I do believe Autodesk has a big announcement. They say will change everything… we’ll see! If Apple doesn’t show us a new Mac Pro, I might have to switch from FCP 🙁

Worse… I’ll likely have to run different computer OS…. YIKES. I hate when that happens. I suppose a two platform studio isn’t out of the question, but man… I’ll be very disappointed sans a new pro machine from A.
