  • What display gamma setting are you using on your color display?

    Hi everyone

As we move away from CRT’s, and into LCD or Plasma world, i find that the standard for rec 709 of gamma of 2.2 on these displays appears to be brighter, I know that surround lighting now plays an important role in trying to help the perception of black levels on these displays.

For those using these newer displays, when calibrating them, do you keep gamma at 2.2 or do you increase to 2.4 or 2.6

    Thanks
