what compression using MPEG Streamclip
so I downloaded mpeg stream clip since the Q&A sugeested that here..
Im importing it into FCP as quicktime.. default compression is apple motion JPGE A.. is that good .. which is the best ..thank you..oh and quality was at 50% why would I want 50% should it not be at 100 instead.?

Those are just default settings for the application.
Change the compressor and quality to match what you would like to edit. I.e. if you want to edit in ProRes, change the compressor to ProRes and full quality.
