    this may be a stupid question. i have client that has a PC and he cant see the .mov files i copied to him with ex tranfer software..help please. He has purchased QT pro but i assume he needs the right codec.

    The codec is XDCAM EX. It doesn’t change from the camera. It’s simply re-wrapped.
    .mov is a wrapper (just like .avi for example) which can contain any number of codecs. Quicktime is a player that only includes some of many codecs. Many more codecs are added if one buys Final Cut Pro.

    Customer needs to either buy Calibrated Software’s EX MOV plugin for Quicktime for non FCP systems or you need to encode the files to something your customer can play.
