what Best codec to go between MAC n PC in davinchi Studio 16
I do work on DR 16 both on MAC n PC, But the files I edit start from DR in a PC thus cannot be rendered out to ProRes. That would be the preference. DR will edit Prores on a PC but not Render out. So I have been Experimenting.
Tried
Cineform.MOV (Blacks are crushed?)
DNXHD.MOV (Blacks are Crushed?)
GV HQX.MOV (Blacks are much closer to reality) (not sure how this works on a MAC yet)
XAVC.MFX ( Blacks are crushed?)
Any recommendations on BEST codec to render out FROM PC DR that will be good on MAC DR and the blacks not get crushed? or is there a fix for these black all being crushed?
Any help would be appreciated.

The blacks don’t have to be crushed. Check Data Levels -> Video vs. Full and fix it.
It often helps to export a second or so of SMPTE Color Bars as a reference with any file, because then you can later check levels and make sure nothing has changed. This goes for Resolve or Premiere or Avid or Baselight or anything.
