  • What Audio/Visual Sync Effect Is This?

Posted by Kevin Huang on February 19, 2014 at 2:51 am

    Hi,

I need some help with identifying what the following AE technique is and how I could replicated it:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhD_nbzKKys

The effect that I am referring to is the audio and visual sync in which the image will have a “ghost plusing” effect when ever a certain frequency for the audio track is detected (normally a lower frequency/bass). If anyone could help me with this that would be great!

    Thanks in advance.

There are resources here to get you started:

Thanks for the resource however I have a couple more questions.

I’ve used Trapcode Sound Keys instead to produce the audio key frames and wish to add an adjustment layer like the one in the video. I think the video uses curves and scaling to produce the ghost pulsing effect but I’m not too sure on that.

I’ve used Light Burst 2.5, is that the effect name?
